Frühlingsfest is held every May in Stuttgart. It's the same as Volksfest, only it's held in the spring (frühling)! Michael arrived just in time for the final weekend of the fest.
Both Volkfest and spring fest remind me a lot of the Minnesota state fair: food, rides, and carnival games.
Herzlich Willkommen
We ate at the Göckelsmaier tent.
It's rowdy inside the tent even in the middle of the day. We ate at the outside tables you see in the photo above.
Don't be fooled by the cute baby on my back--he is a hair yanker!
Getting my crepes fix
Drew on a ride
Michael practicing archery
Fishing for prizes
Check out that tree man!
Flammlachs = Salmon cooked over a fire
Biergarten
Happy to have my bro here :)
Our kids love brezeln, just like all German kids do!
Cute pic of Mike and me (and my gigantic baby).
Oven roasted potatoes--yum!
William has heart eyes for that heart waffle.
what a whimsical place! looked like a lot of fun. drew's face in the last pic kills me -- are you sure he's not a teenager inside a 5-y-o body?
ReplyDeletelove that place, looks like a great time! Did anyone get a ginormous beer?
