We are loving all the opportunities the base offers for parents to have some time to themselves! A few Saturdays ago, we signed Drew up for "Parents' Day Out." He was so excited to go to his "base Kindergarten." Jim and I decided to spend the day on Koenigstrasse in downtown Stuttgart. Koenigstrasse is a long pedestrian street of shops. It reminds me of Michigan Avenue in Chicago (minus the traffic) or Las Ramblas in Barcelona.

It was a little chilly and misty that day but oh! to go in and out of shops and out for a nice lunch without worrying about maneuvering with a stroller or a whining child--it was so nice!
