Catching up......in July we visited Mainau Island on our way home from Lindau. Mainau Island is also called Flower Island. It is like a large botanical garden, with a fantastic playground for kids. We took a ferry there, parked our car, and then were able to walk onto the island across a foot bridge.

Greeted by real ducks and flower ducks at Mainau!
The water feature below was like a dream come true for Drew. The kids can get on these wooden rafts and then work together to propel themselves across the water. I know we have a video of this somewhere...I have to find it.
There was also a cute little farm on the island.

Wow, German playgrounds are amazing! You are going to be so disappointed to come back to the states and visit our generic, plastic structures that are plopped down in the middle of a boring patch of grass and mulch....
