Prague: Old Town in the Evening

Spending the evening hours in the Old Town of Prague was my favorite part of our weekend by far.  It had cooled down a little, was less crowded, and the view from the Charles Bridge at dusk was just gorgeous.

I thought for sure William would fall asleep in the Ergo, but instead he just gazed up at me for most of the night!

Tired but content :)
Drew really enjoyed walking on the Charles Bridge and was quite the ham, posing for pictures when he doesn't usually like "pic-chicks."

I had read in Rick Steves' guide book that Prague was really popular for bachelor parties...cheap beer and cheap thrills!  This was definitely the case.  We must have seen at least 6 different bachelor parties walking the streets of Prague.  They usually had matching outfits of some kind, and the groom was often dressed as a woman!  This bachelor party insisted on giving Drew one of their beer helmets...um, thanks?

We had such a good evening.  The kids were happy and quiet.  It was a nice treat for us to be able to stay out and explore a little longer than usual.

Headed to bed

    1. We're saving it to give to him on the evening of his own bachelor party, of course! ;-) Just kidding--we left it near a construction site on our way back to the hotel...figured the construction workers would get a kick out of it.

  2. the photos of william in the ergo are adorable, he loves you soooooooo much! will he stay in the ergo for a very long time? V gets bored and antsy, always wants out. Also I think it's too hot for her to be that close to my body (which begs the question, what was the weather like in Prague and what's it like at your house this time of year?)

    1. William does like being in the Ergo--I think he just likes to be up high so he can see everything that's going on! It was about 85 degrees in Prague that weekend and really humid and sticky. Once the sun went down though it was probably in the 70s and not so bad for wearing him. It's been in the 70s most of the summer here in Germany.
